A key passing skill is the ability to receive the ball from one direction and then turn and pass in another direction. This drill introduces this skill. 3 players stand in a straight line. The 2 players at each end of the line should stand about 10 yards (or 10 meters) from the middle player.
1) Player A (blue) starts with the ball. Player B (red) faces Player A. Player A passes the ball to Player B.
2) Player B (red) controls the ball and then turns quickly to face Player C (black) and passes the ball to Player C.
3) Player C (black) controls the ball and passes it back to Player B (red.)
4) Player B (red) controls the ball and then turns quickly to face Player A (blue) and passes the ball to Player A. Perform this drill 3 to 5 times and then switch players to allow each of the players a turn to be in the middle.
